Paloma - whose Christian name is the Spanish for 'Dove' - was born on May 1st in London. Her parents, an English mother and Mexican father were hippie musicians and, when Paloma was a baby they moved to live in Mexico City, where she stayed until she was nine and the parents separated. She returned to England with her mother, began acting in school plays and read English and Performing Arts at Bristol University. Since then she has appeared on the London stage and in several popular television dramas. She has also directed two short films.

Paloma Baeza (born 1 May ) is a Mexican-British actress and director. Her film Poles Apart won the BAFTA Award for Best Short Animation in [2][3]
Biography
[edit]Baeza was born in London and spent her childhood in Mexico.[4] Her Mexican father and her British mother were musicians who met in the UK.[5] In , when Baeza was five months old, her parents married in London and they went to Mexico City. They divorced nine years later.[citation needed]
She returned to the UK with her mother in , when she was nine. She began taking acting classes and appeared very early in the London theatres and British television productions. She studied English and Performing Arts at the University of Bristol.[4]
