Young Artist Competition Winner Aubree Oliverson
The Pasadena Community Orchestra is proud to announce this years Young Artist Competition Winner, Aubree Oliverson!
Sixteen year-old Aubree Oliverson has been called a “Modern Mozart” and we are thrilled to have her join us in a performance of Lalo’s Symphonie espagnole in D minor, Op. 21 on Friday, May 15th!
This Project was funded (in part) by a grant from Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts and the City of Pasadena.
Aubree Oliverson, a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts and YoungArts National Finalist, is a multi-faceted performer and communicator. Winner of the American Protégé International Strings competition, Aubree made her solo debut with the Utah Symphony at age eleven, made her Carnegie Hall debut in Weill Recital Hall at age twelve, and at thirteen performed Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto in a return engagement with the Utah Symphony. Aubree has been featured on NPR’s From The Top four times, was a finalist in the Stulberg International Strings Competition, and recently performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. She has soloed with a wide variety of music ensembles including the Utah Chamber Artists, Salt Lake Pops Orchestra, San Fernando Valley Symphony, Topanga Canyon Symphony, Pasadena Orchest

Violinist Aubree Oliverson Signs to Askonas Holt Management
Aubree Oliverson joins Askonas Holt general management following the Colburn Artists program in Los Angeles, which is Colburn Conservatory of Music’s management program for students pursuing professional music careers.
Oliverson made her Carnegie Hall recital debut at age 12 and has performed to sold-out audiences at the Grand Teton Music Festival, SOKA, and SCERA Center for Performing Arts.
Her accolades include the “ Special Prize of Merit” for violin at Switzerland’s Verbier Festival Academy and a National YoungArts Foundation award — in addition to being honored as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts and selected for the Dorothy DeLay Fellowship and concerto performance at the Aspen Music Festival.
Her upcoming recitals will take place in Rome, L.A., and Ridgecrest, California as part of violinist Midori Gotō’s “Partners in Performance” Recital Series.
A former student of Debbie Moench, Eugene Watanabe, and Danielle Belen, Oliverson currently attends the Colburn school studying with the Jascha Heifetz Distinguished Violin Chair of the conservatory, Robert Lipsett.
She plays on a Sanctus Seraphin violin — generously on loan from Dr. James Stewart.
